Cadillac Ranch Review

Cadillac Ranch ReviewCadillac Ranch was spawned a few years ago outside of Washington DC, and is on a fast growth track with  five restaurants in the East and one outlet at the Mall of America in suburban Minneapolis.  Their aim is to bring great from scratch food in a fun rock and roll atmosphere.  The menu features steaks, seafood, burgers and flat bread pizzas washed down with some of their in-house brews. Throw in a mechanical bull for additional fun.

Their menu is online, and there are daily specials.

Burgerdog niece and her pal stopped into the Mall of America location today, and had the Black and Blue burger, a blackened Angus beef patty with a blue cheese crust, smoke bacon, tomato, lettuce, onion and pickle.  The also sampled the restaurant’s version of the Juicy Lucy, a unique Minnesota creation, and inside out certified Angus burger, stuffed with American cheese served on a bed of sauteed onions and pickles.

They thought the Black and Blue was great, but the Juicy Lucy wasn’t so juicy, the expected quantity of melted cheese inside the patty just wasn’t present.

Burgers were served with lightly seasoned fries which they liked; they asked for, and received an additional amount of the house seasoning for fries on the side.  The burger plates run between $10 and $15.  Steaks top out the menu at around $35.
