Bills Hamburgers Review Van Nuys

The kind of place legends are born, Bill & Hiroko’s little food stand has been serving up breakfasts and tasty burgers in the San Fernando for years. Bill was around today, but Hiroko was “manning the grill”, and when I asked about a burger, she suggested breakfast might be more appropriate, but I forged ahead, cheeseburger, on the menu board at $3.35.

While I usually defer, I didn’t today, and the burger came loaded up with shredded lettuce, mayo, tomato, a few onions, pickles, and a handful of ripple chips, wrapped in a plastic wrap, tossed into the take out bag.

It was tasty, but no discernible meat flavor escaped the condiments and salad. That’s ok. I love counters with stools, reminds me of the Sunset Grill before they remodeled and got all fancy.

I’ll be back. Close proximity to a Tommy’s helps! Bill’s is located on Oxnard between Van Nuys and Kester.
