We ended up here by accident, we had set out for “Thirst – A Wine Bar” after reading their menu online, and when we got there, there was a note on the door that they were “temporarily closed.” Geez, folks, couldn’t you have put that on the website before we ventured out? Oafs.
Manzana was packed, no sign of a economic downturn here tonight. Long wait for tables, so we opted to eat at the bar, which was a good choice, we had a great bartender who made the event fun, and the food was way above par. Way above.
We had a seared ahi appetizer, caesar salad, and I talked the French Dip, which if I would have been at Arby’s, they would have called a hamburger, so I feel I can include it here.
Manzana’s menu describes the sandwich (pictured below) as “Fresh Roasted Sirloin French Dip Sandwich
Cooked medium rare, thinly sliced to order and piled high on a grilled French roll with au jus and creamed
horseradish.”
And it was perfectly as described. Fresh cut fries on the side. If you can’t get to Manzana, I see they are now on the “Delivered Dish” program, so you can enjoy this “burger” in the comfort of your own home, in the PDX area.
