Slinde Nelson, a law firm located in Old Town, Portland, might seem like an odd choice to enjoy the fruits of local artists for a First Thursday outing. Turns out, the folks at Slinde Nelson are big supporters of the local art scene, and have been participating in this monthly event for a number of years. Art rep John Graeter totes in some local artists work each month, for visitors to Slinde Nelson to enjoy on First Thursday and for the next thirty days.
Catering last nite was by the Casba Mediterranean Cafe, also a denizen of Old Town, and a purveyor of all things in the Med cuisine type arena – hummus, pita, falafel, kabobs, salads. I’ve been into Casba a couple of times just to grab a coffee, but not had their food, but I’ll make a point to pick it up on occasion now. It was fresh, tasty, and “artfully” prepared for the occasion.
Whether you are wandering around on First Thursday and looking for a new place to stop, or if you are in need of some top-notch local lawyers (also the home of frequent burger eater, Portland Attorney Will Du Val), you might just put Slinde Nelson on your radar.
