Minnesota Burger reporter Kawikamedia and his burger posse were looking to get out of their immediate hood the other day, and ended up at the Choo Choo Bar in South Superior, WI. The Choo Choo has been dishing up the goods for decades, on US 2, a great place to contemplate stopping if you are heading from Duluth to Bayfield or the Apostle Islands.
They started with the complimentary Parmesan bites (free w/ pizza order), trimmings of pizza dough deep fried, and sprinkled with cheese. They reported they were very good when served piping hot.
On to a thin crust pie, hand-stretched dough, and apparently sausage and pepperoni made to the bar’s order, as well.
