Minnesota Twins Food – Without the Baseball

I’ve written about Valentini’s before, the upscale Italian restaurant on the Iron Range of Minnesota, with an outlet in Duluth, and a concession license at the spectacular new Minnesota Twins baseball stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

By all accounts Valentini’s stadium offering, the giant meatball, is a smash hit, so Kawika and the Minnesota Burger Posse headed to the Duluth location today to check out the mighty ball.  (Today would have been my mother and father’s 65th wedding anniversary; she was a Twin’s NUT, and used to go to games with a gal pal.  She would have loved the new stadium, and the meatball!)

The menu calls it a “secret blend of meat and spices, stuffed with cheese and covered with a red pepper sugo.”

The report?  Unbelievable.  They wanted to follow up the meal with the house-made cannoli, but twas not available, so they tried the eclair instead, and liked it.

A meal repeat later in the day was in order to try and test out the cannoli.

Remember the Twins jingle?  Sing along while you eat your meatball!
