This annual event, a marathon run along the shore of Lake Superior, organized and sponsored by Grandma’s Saloon and Deli in Duluth, MN, is now in its 36th year. It’s a favorite with runners worldwide, for several reasons, including the climate, scenery, and course layout.
That first year it was a one-day event that attracted about 150 runners; today, it’s blossomed into nearly a week-long festival, attracting 10,000 world class runners, their families, the press, and support organizations to Duluth.
One of the favorite events for runners and locals alike, is the annual “All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner”, put on in Pioneer Hall at the arena complex. It’s the “night before” carb up event.
Diners enjoy pasta, salad, and garlic bread, for one low price.
